The Story

“1989” was not only a new Swift era, but another career defining shift for Taylor. Despite what her label and management thought, she decided to take the risk and move into pop music.

I think you could say this move and album was a success. It led to one of the biggest pop culture moments ever to happen. We had the squad, the 4th if July parties, and many other things. It also was the end of people rooting for Taylor as the underdog.

You could also say that many events in this album and during this era led to the events that would unfold in 2016. Although this did lead to my favourite album happening.
