#5- Only The Young- Taylor Swift
Now that I am done fangirling and sobbing (all the feels) to Miss Americana on Netflix, I want to talk about this song. While not the longest or best song out there, the message behind it is an important one. Don’t give up in the year of an election even though we are all so tired already. There is still a lot of hope and fighting to do.
#4- Tonight- Kesha
A track off of her new album High Road that came out on Friday. It is like a fusion of the new Kesha singer-songwriter sound that came with the release of her last album Rainbow and the old Ke$ha (yeah, the one with the dollar sign).
#3- la- Kelsea Ballerini
This song almost has a Sheryl Crow/Colbie Caillat feel to it. I really think it is pretty and one of the better songs she has released. It seems like it is talking about finding your place in a world where you’re not sure if you belong or are good enough to belong.
#2- Tusa- KAROL G, Nicki Minaj
I don’t know many Spanish words at all, but I love KAROL G’s voice. English songs being popular all over the world despite language barriers proves you don’t need to speak the language to love a song.
#1- Physical- Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa is doing her best to make good on her promise to dominate pop music. After releasing the infectious “Don’t Start Now”, she has released this gem. Like last week’s pick of “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, the production is impeccable. Her new album Future Nostalgia will be out April 3.
